A Pieceful Life

I'm so glad that you stopped by, and hope that you enjoy your visit. Here you will find pieces of my life - quilting, cross-stitch, family, travel, friends.
My name is Peg - I am a 60ish wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, friend - and if we're not already related or friends, hope to become your friend too.
We live in the eastern end of the beautiful Fraser Valley, about 1.5 hours east of Vancouver, BC. Empty nesters, we have one son living just a few minutes away, our other son and daughter live in Alberta.
Comments are always welcome, always read - and answered if need be. Feel free to share, I love hearing from all my cyber-space friends.
Please do check out some of the links in my side-bar - you'll find other bloggers and fabulous people to visit.

Garden Beauties

We’re fortunate to have a show garden just minutes from home and with spring officially here, it is open to the public.  We got season’s passes and took the opportunity yesterday to enjoy a wander through the beautifully created scenery.

We were greeted by Spanish flavor entertainment.

It’s daffodil and tulip season, and the blooms gave a lovely show

There were a few other spring flowers to enjoy as well

What I enjoy the most is the artistry in using plants and flowers to create a picture or a shape – note the peacock proudly showing off his colors (in tulips at this time of year).

We’ll be going back often throughout the year to see how the peacock’s colors change.

Over the last few months, I’ve been woefully neglectful of blogger friends – now that my temporary job is over, I’ll be able to  respond to comments, and get back in touch.  Looking forward to spending more time with you all.
