A Pieceful Life

A Pieceful Life

Welcome

I'm so glad that you stopped by, and hope that you enjoy your visit. Here you will find pieces of my life - quilting, cross-stitch, family, travel, friends.
My name is Peg - I am a 60ish wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, friend - and if we're not already related or friends, hope to become your friend too.
We live in the eastern end of the beautiful Fraser Valley, about 1.5 hours east of Vancouver, BC. Empty nesters, we have one son living just a few minutes away, our other son and daughter live in Alberta.
Comments are always welcome, always read - and answered if need be. Feel free to share, I love hearing from all my cyber-space friends.
Please do check out some of the links in my side-bar - you'll find other bloggers and fabulous people to visit.

On Becoming a Writer

There’s so much more to the blogging world than I ever dreamed when I launched into this experiment almost a year and a half ago.  There’s Woohoo Wednesday, Sepia Saturday, Wordless Wednesday, Mosaic Monday, Friday Shoot Out, Tool Time Tuesday, all kinds of ‘awards’, lots of links to various web-sites and special interest groups.  Recently a blogging friend started writing stories in response to a photo prompt posted by another blogger, and that got me thinking.

So very tentatively, I wrote a story – and shared it with my sister and the blogging friend.  Then I wrote another, and shared it with my sister-in-law.  Gradually I opened myself up to the other bloggers who write stories in response to the prompt.  Then I put a couple of my stories on my Facebook page.

Now, I thought I’d share with those who read this blog – you’ll find the stories here.  I hope some of you enjoy some of them.

The next step – my sister and I have agreed to collaborate on a story – who knows where that will take us!!

  1. Oh Peg that is exactly how I found it. While I am writing this I so love looking at the little flower grouping on your background. I so love looking up backgrounds and putting in new headers and just recently tried Mr. Linky on my post. Had a few problems there, but will try again. Great idea about collaborating with your sister. Such fun things. Going to look at your Magpie Tales now. Blessings
