A Pieceful Life

I'm so glad that you stopped by, and hope that you enjoy your visit. Here you will find pieces of my life - quilting, cross-stitch, family, travel, friends.
My name is Peg - I am a 60ish wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, friend - and if we're not already related or friends, hope to become your friend too.
We live in the eastern end of the beautiful Fraser Valley, about 1.5 hours east of Vancouver, BC. Empty nesters, we have one son living just a few minutes away, our other son and daughter live in Alberta.
Comments are always welcome, always read - and answered if need be. Feel free to share, I love hearing from all my cyber-space friends.

New things

We’re in vacation planning mode – heading out with the trailer next weekend.  So, shopping for easy-to-cook food, checking out clothing, making sure all the necessities are in the trailer, getting out maps and RV guides, making reservations….and discovering the camera is not as happy as it could be.

A few times lately, our lovely little digital has acted up – pictures that should be at least okay, not so good – not always turning on, despite a fully-charged battery.  It’s served us well, but maybe it’s time to retire.

055.New camera test

So our preparations have included shopping for a new camera.  This is what we found:

I’m so excited!!!  With a larger monitor, that’s movable so easier to see when holding the camera at those awkward angles, and high-def to show up better on the PC and the TV, I’m going to have so much fun!

Wonder if this will make me a better photographer?

Happy picture taking!                 Peg
