A Pieceful Life

I'm so glad that you stopped by, and hope that you enjoy your visit. Here you will find pieces of my life - quilting, cross-stitch, family, travel, friends.
My name is Peg - I am a 60ish wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, friend - and if we're not already related or friends, hope to become your friend too.
We live in the eastern end of the beautiful Fraser Valley, about 1.5 hours east of Vancouver, BC. Empty nesters, we have one son living just a few minutes away, our other son and daughter live in Alberta.
Comments are always welcome, always read - and answered if need be. Feel free to share, I love hearing from all my cyber-space friends.
Please do check out some of the links in my side-bar - you'll find other bloggers and fabulous people to visit.

Wednesday’s Word - Memories

This is the time of year when for memories – remembering the old ones, making new ones.  As I think back over the past year, it’s been a wonderful one, and here are a few of my highlights:

Blogging and making new friends, give-aways and challenges, including a winning or two, like this pattern from Susan Jensen:

A trip down memory lane with dear friends – to Chuckanutt Drive, where we used to go way back in our teen years – and a wonderful seafood dinner:

A drive down to Tacoma with my parents to visit an aunt and uncle – learning anew of old family memories:

Dinner out with Mr. Strongman and Doc K, as they’re starting new memories for themselves:

Relaxing with Ms Butterfly and Surferdude as we enjoy a memorable trip to visit them:

Laughing as we try to make a memorable picture of Mr. Soccer and Ms Student:

On a trip to historic Barkerville, and re-learning the memorable era of the Gold Rush – making a fool of myself on the stage:

Camping along the Oregon Coast, and making more new memories with family:

Sewing with a friend – a memorable occasion indeed, as it was our first attempt at making a garment without a pattern:

Several trips throughout the year to our local show garden, and enjoying the seasonal changes:

A bus trip with old friends to celebrate a milestone  - and renewing friendships, remembering good times:

Quilting, always quilting – to make keepsakes, and learn, always learn – sharing with friends both real and virtual:

Happy memories!                   Blessigns, Peg

  1. That is a nice idea to recount all the good memories. I love your hair cut and especially the beautiful silver color. LOL wonder why I like that color? I have so enjoyed reading your post and look forward to the coming year. Blessings

  2. Hope 2011 holds as many wonderful memories for you!
