Lots of sewing happening around here – scraps being used up and a whole pile of blocks and flimsies waiting for attention.
It’s coming along – all but one element (do you see the hole toward the bottom right – just waiting for some fabric that Jo is sending me). Next step – get these all sewn together, and work on borders. Jo and I have talked about making it bigger (bed-size), but I think I’ll just keep it at this – 58”x64” – and use it for a seasonal wall hanging.
This, of course, means that I need some more wall hangings for the other 3 seasons. And Jo has one answer – she’s also sending me a Christmas panel that she found on a shop-hop last week.
You can follow our progress on this quilt, and possibly others that we will be doing in the future, over at our shared blog, Cross-Border Quilters .
On a completely different note – it’s our darling daughter’s birthday – she’s….. oops I guess I should never reveal a woman’s age. She and SurferDude are heading off for a week in the sun – what a great way to celebrate a special day!
Anyway, off to see a couple of clients this morning, then help our friends take the leftovers from their garage sale to the thrift store this afternoon, and quilting group this evening– I guess there won’t be much sewing done today!
Happy friendships! Blessings, Peg
