A Pieceful Life

A Pieceful Life

I'm so glad that you stopped by, and hope that you enjoy your visit. Here you will find pieces of my life - quilting, cross-stitch, family, travel, friends.
My name is Peg - I am a 60ish wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, friend - and if we're not already related or friends, hope to become your friend too.
We live in the eastern end of the beautiful Fraser Valley, about 1.5 hours east of Vancouver, BC. Empty nesters, we have one son living just a few minutes away, our other son and daughter live in Alberta.
Comments are always welcome, always read - and answered if need be. Feel free to share, I love hearing from all my cyber-space friends.
Please do check out some of the links in my side-bar - you'll find other bloggers and fabulous people to visit.

This weekend would have been my mother-in-law’s 80th birthday.  And we were all wishing she was still here with us to celebrate.

Grizz’s sister thought it would be nice for her children to gather together in her honor (because she passed away at such a young age, her grandchildren never knew her) – so six of us met to ‘remember Mom’.

We gathered at the cemetery, did a little clean-up, and placed some fresh flowers025

Balloons were often part of celebrations, so we brought some of those along023

And released them as we all wished her a Happy Birthday, confident that she was watching, so proud and happy with her family

It was too cold to stand around outside, so we went to the parents’ favorite eatery to do our reminiscing030

Happy Birthday Mom

  1. What a lovely tribute. And memory lingers with all the bloggers who read your blog - as well as with your family.

  2. Agreed, a very lovely tribute. I am sure the time together was very special.
