A Pieceful Life

Welcome

I'm so glad that you stopped by, and hope that you enjoy your visit. Here you will find pieces of my life - quilting, cross-stitch, family, travel, friends.
My name is Peg - I am a 60ish wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, friend - and if we're not already related or friends, hope to become your friend too.
We live in the eastern end of the beautiful Fraser Valley, about 1.5 hours east of Vancouver, BC. Empty nesters, we have one son living just a few minutes away, our other son and daughter live in Alberta.
Comments are always welcome, always read - and answered if need be. Feel free to share, I love hearing from all my cyber-space friends.
Please do check out some of the links in my side-bar - you'll find other bloggers and fabulous people to visit.

Post Easter Post

Sounds like an answer to a crossword puzzle clue – hmmm, wonder what the clue would be?

But it is post-Easter, and a wonderful weekend it has been!  Filled with family, friends and faith!

Good Friday dinner was scrumptious, including both turkey and goose (I think my SIL is feeling rather sentimental these days – goose was their family tradition).

You can see that our favorite hang-out is the kitchen!

Friday evening Mr. Soccer and Ms Student invited us to their church service – a wonderful remembrance of the sacrifice of our Lord.

Easter Sunday started with a sunrise service – held by nearby churches at our local show garden.  Just as the sun was cresting the top of the mountains, believers gathered to celebrate the Resurrection, voices raised in praise and worship, with the church spire off to the side pointing as if to say ‘This is the Way’

In the afternoon we walked along the river – and watched some folks working with a falcon:

We finished the weekend with ham dinner – and a game of cards – with friends!

Happy Happy Easter!
