A Pieceful Life

I'm so glad that you stopped by, and hope that you enjoy your visit. Here you will find pieces of my life - quilting, cross-stitch, family, travel, friends.
My name is Peg - I am a 60ish wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, friend - and if we're not already related or friends, hope to become your friend too.
We live in the eastern end of the beautiful Fraser Valley, about 1.5 hours east of Vancouver, BC. Empty nesters, we have one son living just a few minutes away, our other son and daughter live in Alberta.
Comments are always welcome, always read - and answered if need be. Feel free to share, I love hearing from all my cyber-space friends.

Yellowstone National Park Part II

More of our visit to this most marvelous park
We enjoyed all the animals – elk on the hillsides:99_thumb
And in the town-site:
Mountain sheep:
And bison:
The bulls seemed to be alone or in pairs:120_thumb
This one gave us pause as he wandered across the road right in front of us –
to scratch his head:
And the mamas took care of the babies:127_thumb1
We saw no bears or wolves in the wild, but took the time to visit the Grizzly and Wolf Discovery Center, just outside the park in West Yellowstone:

  1. We drove through Yellowstone on our move to California 13 years ago. The only animals we saw were elk. It was kind of disappointing. I'm glad you were able to see more wildlife. Old faithful didn't disappoint though and the waterfalls were amazing. thanks for the pictures.

  2. Beautiful pictures, Peg. Thanks for sharing them. And for going on this trip so I can see them.
