I'm so glad that you stopped by, and hope that you enjoy your visit. Here you will find pieces of my life - quilting, cross-stitch, family, travel, friends.
My name is Peg - I am a 60ish wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, friend - and if we're not already related or friends, hope to become your friend too.
We live in the eastern end of the beautiful Fraser Valley, about 1.5 hours east of Vancouver, BC. Empty nesters, we have one son living just a few minutes away, our other son and daughter live in Alberta.
Comments are always welcome, always read - and answered if need be. Feel free to share, I love hearing from all my cyber-space friends.

We’re off to see the Wizard

The wonderful wizard of

Yes, Harry Potter is back for his final show.

When Harry first appeared on the scene, our children were teens and adults with little interest, but my nieces were school age – and we got the chance to see the first movie with them.

Over the years, we’ve seen, heard, read the books and movies, and with the coming advent of this last movie, we spent time in May (before holidays) watching our DS2 collection of the first 6.  We saved # 7 (part 1) until today.

So right now, fairly early on Friday July 15, we’re watching part 1 with plans to meet our kids in a few hours to see part 2 at the theatre.

Sot it’s movie day for us – and our chance to say farewell to HP and his friends.  They are going to be sorely missed - except for the fact that they live in perpetuity in books and on DVDs for all the generations to come.

  1. Hope you enjoy .. I am going with my son tomorrow too!

  2. Bizz just loaned me the movies. So it will be an HP marathon this week. Not sure if I'll bother going to the theatre to watch the last one, but I think that re-reading the series is on my list for this fall. Enjoy the movie!

  3. As is/has been in our home too... It sounds like a wonderful gearing up for the finale of HP!! I'm looking forward to seeing it with my son and DH soon... 8-)
