A Pieceful Life

Welcome

I'm so glad that you stopped by, and hope that you enjoy your visit. Here you will find pieces of my life - quilting, cross-stitch, family, travel, friends.
My name is Peg - I am a 60ish wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, friend - and if we're not already related or friends, hope to become your friend too.
We live in the eastern end of the beautiful Fraser Valley, about 1.5 hours east of Vancouver, BC. Empty nesters, we have one son living just a few minutes away, our other son and daughter live in Alberta.
Comments are always welcome, always read - and answered if need be. Feel free to share, I love hearing from all my cyber-space friends.

Congratulations Are in Order

Last week we were looking at email messages when the phone rang.

The phone call – an engagement announcement.

The message we were reading – another engagement announcement.

Our DS1 and our nephew gave their beloveds their rings on the same weekend.

So why have I taken so long to share the good news?  Well, I was kind of waiting for some pictures…..which haven’t arrived yet!!

Our DS1 lives in Alberta, and they tell us they haven’t managed to get any good pictures yet.  So here’s a picture from my archives of the 2 of them:Nice smile

We’re told to expect a summer wedding in Nova Scotia – so we’re beginning to plan our cross-Canada trip!

We’re headed to Alberta in a couple of weeks, so I’ll get pictures and share them then.

On Sunday, we celebrated our nephew’s 30th birthday (he lives much closer).  And we got to take pictures of the newly engaged couple:

02.Adam and Tamra engaged

Sounds like a spring wedding (whew – should have enough time to get from one to the other).

Don’t they all look so very happy!

And we, of course, are happy for them.  And so excited to have weddings to plan and attend coming up!

Happy engagements!                  Blessings, Peg

  6. What lovely news! 2012 will be a year of weddings, for sure. We already have two 'save the date' notices and I know that there'll be a third.
