A Pieceful Life

Welcome

I'm so glad that you stopped by, and hope that you enjoy your visit. Here you will find pieces of my life - quilting, cross-stitch, family, travel, friends.
My name is Peg - I am a 60ish wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, friend - and if we're not already related or friends, hope to become your friend too.
We live in the eastern end of the beautiful Fraser Valley, about 1.5 hours east of Vancouver, BC. Empty nesters, we have one son living just a few minutes away, our other son and daughter live in Alberta.
Comments are always welcome, always read - and answered if need be. Feel free to share, I love hearing from all my cyber-space friends.

Welcome Spring!

And a belated Happy Easter greeting to all of you!

It was a wonderful weekend, filled with sunshine, family, friends, memories – and of course honoring the death and resurrection of our Lord.

Unbelievably the sun shone almost all weekend, and we had opportunity to get out and enjoy it with walks around a nearby lake, as well as barbecuing our Sunday dinner.  Grizz caught sight of this big beauty just outside our back door:002

Dinner and cards with friends, dinner with family – pure pleasure.  A couple of the younger set thought this would be a good way to settle their meal:008011

As you can see we relegated them to the outdoors for just such an activity!

Earlier in the week, we all had received this in the mail:001003004

Not a surprise of course, but brings the reality of our son’s up-coming wedding a little closer.  We’re all really excited – and Grizz and I plan to make the trip to Nova Scotia in our trailer, and enjoy the beauties of our country coming and going.

In the meantime – 384 of these:

Metamorphosed into these:006

Another step forward for surprise project # 2 (#1 is on its way to the quilter this week).

And spring is definitely in the air, finally.  The lilacs and roses are budding, the tulips are pushing their way out of the ground, the windows outside are washed.  All feels beautiful and wonderful and glorious!

Praise the Lord!                       Blessings, Peg

  2. I just don't get the whole cigar thing but to each their own.
Congrats to your son. How nice to travel there and see the sites along the way. Canada is so beautiful and so different from West to East isn't it.
