We so often visit southern Alberta, because we have 2 children living in the area, but other than admiring the scenery, take few pictures. Because this visit was part and parcel of our cross-country trip, photos just automatically became part of the drive.
Southern Alberta is farming/ranching country. In the southwest the hills roll away from the mountains:
Giving way to flat, flat prairie that stretches out as far as the eye can see:
And even out in the elements, the dry weather preserves old artifacts:
Even the people seem to get preserved out here. We talked with one farmer, not that old, who just had that look of prairie preservation – wish I’d been bold enough to ask for a picture.
After a few days in Alberta, we headed for home – now we’re home and all of this past 3 months is just a memory. But what fabulous memories. Thanks to all of you who joined us on this journey through this blog.
Happy travels! Blessings, Peg
