A Pieceful Life

A Pieceful Life

Welcome

I'm so glad that you stopped by, and hope that you enjoy your visit. Here you will find pieces of my life - quilting, cross-stitch, family, travel, friends.
My name is Peg - I am a 60ish wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, friend - and if we're not already related or friends, hope to become your friend too.
We live in the eastern end of the beautiful Fraser Valley, about 1.5 hours east of Vancouver, BC. Empty nesters, we have one son living just a few minutes away, our other son and daughter live in Alberta.
Comments are always welcome, always read - and answered if need be. Feel free to share, I love hearing from all my cyber-space friends.
Please do check out some of the links in my side-bar - you'll find other bloggers and fabulous people to visit.

Blog Hop Party and Give-away

It’s here – the 5th Birthday Celebration at Quilting Gallery, and I’ve joined in on the fun of the Blog Hop Party and Give-away.

I love to quilt (other sewing not so much), and I love to be organized about it, so when I found a pattern for a sewer’s tote-along caddy, I quickly made one up for myself.  And it’s wonderful on the arm of my favorite sewing chair.

381.sewing caddy give-away

So I’d like to share one with somebody else, through this give-away.  For every follower who comments, your name will be put in the draw.  If you’re a follower, who doesn’t have a blog, please send a private email (through my profile) and I’ll add you to the list.

Draw date will be Dec. 15.  Sorry, only North America shipping.

If you want to hop through the other blogs and get in on more give-aways, click on the Blog Hop Party button on my side bar.

Happy hopping!                             Blessings, Peg

  1. Now to me a quilt is a blanket (I hope that's not a bad word among quilters) and sewing is sewing whether it's a blanket or not. I love how you disguise "other sewing" as you call it by incorporating elements of quilt manufacture into their construction. That's brilliant! Your work is brilliant, too. I do so love following your projects here. Keep blanketing this world with your beautiful work.

  2. Jumping in early on the blog hop. That sewing buddy is just what I need. No more needles in the arm of the sofa!

  3. I could really use something like that for the arm of my sewing chair. I have an end table nearby, but I find I'm always knocking off my scissors or spool of thread as I'm reaching for the marking pencil, etc. Thanks for the give-away!

  18. Now that is a very useful tote! and the fabric you used is so appropriate! That would have come in very handy when I was sticking my needles into the padding on the couch arm; I wouldn't have lost my sewing needle which is now probably two layers deep into the padding.

  28. Perfect giveaway choice. My new year's resolution is to be more organized, so I'm sure this will help :) We just moved at Thanksgiving time into a new- to- us, house, so the organization goal may be just a goal for now, but at least my hand sewing area will be organized :) Now onto the garage :)Happy Holidays!
