A Pieceful Life

A Pieceful Life

Welcome

I'm so glad that you stopped by, and hope that you enjoy your visit. Here you will find pieces of my life - quilting, cross-stitch, family, travel, friends.
My name is Peg - I am a 60ish wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, friend - and if we're not already related or friends, hope to become your friend too.
We live in the eastern end of the beautiful Fraser Valley, about 1.5 hours east of Vancouver, BC. Empty nesters, we have one son living just a few minutes away, our other son and daughter live in Alberta.
Comments are always welcome, always read - and answered if need be. Feel free to share, I love hearing from all my cyber-space friends.
Please do check out some of the links in my side-bar - you'll find other bloggers and fabulous people to visit.

Wonder, Wander, Unwind

That appears to be the summer theme at our local show garden

And on Sunday we indeed Wandered and Unwound – and Wondered at the beauty.

The roses were perfect, wish I could share their scent:

The peacock stood proud

The formal garden was bursting with color

The water features looked so cool and inviting

The lizard basked in the sun (well mostly)

As we sought the shade when we could

That’s one wedding party in the background (near the bench), and we saw another getting a few photos near the ‘chapel’:

These gardens have been a favorite spot for all kinds of gatherings, but most popularly weddings for many years.  They opened their gates in 1980, but sadly the owner has determined it is no longer sustainable, so this is farewell season for Minter Gardens.  It’s a sad loss to our community, and to the world:

We’re going to miss it.  But we’ll always have our memories.

Blessings, Peg

  1. What a beautiful place. Isn't it sad that we lose so many of the lovely properties. I suppose due to recession, or something.
