A Pieceful Life

A Pieceful Life

Welcome

I'm so glad that you stopped by, and hope that you enjoy your visit. Here you will find pieces of my life - quilting, cross-stitch, family, travel, friends.
My name is Peg - I am a 60ish wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, friend - and if we're not already related or friends, hope to become your friend too.
We live in the eastern end of the beautiful Fraser Valley, about 1.5 hours east of Vancouver, BC. Empty nesters, we have one son living just a few minutes away, our other son and daughter live in Alberta.
Comments are always welcome, always read - and answered if need be. Feel free to share, I love hearing from all my cyber-space friends.
Please do check out some of the links in my side-bar - you'll find other bloggers and fabulous people to visit.

The Long Wait

is over.

This post is actually delayed because I couldn't get blogger to post a picture through my iPad so had to wait until we got home to a regular lap-top to share with you all..  But regardless, here's our big announcement:

Our grandson, LW, arrived October 15 weighing in at 10 lb. 11 oz.  He put the docs and mama through all the paces trying to persuade him to join us in the world, and eventually they decided on a c-section.

He is, of course, a pure delight for everybody, and it was terribly hard to leave him behind (as well as our kids and our granddaughter) when we came home, but we'll be headed back probably in just a few weeks to see them all again, and they all plan to join us over the Christmas/New Year holidays.  Lots of Nan-time ahead!

Happy, happy grandparenting!                                Blessings, Peg

  2. OHhhh a grandson - they are such fun!!!!! What a darling he is - don't you just love the teeny hats they put on them in the hospital now? Just think of all the fun you will be having with the grandbabies over the holidays. Our grandsons are 3, 9 3/4 (he insists on the 3/4) and 13 - so many fabulous memories of those years - and more to come.
