A Pieceful Life

I'm so glad that you stopped by, and hope that you enjoy your visit. Here you will find pieces of my life - quilting, cross-stitch, family, travel, friends.
My name is Peg - I am a 60ish wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, friend - and if we're not already related or friends, hope to become your friend too.
We live in the eastern end of the beautiful Fraser Valley, about 1.5 hours east of Vancouver, BC. Empty nesters, we have one son living just a few minutes away, our other son and daughter live in Alberta.
Comments are always welcome, always read - and answered if need be. Feel free to share, I love hearing from all my cyber-space friends.

Time For a Break

The last couple of weeks has just flown by, and now we’re away for a little R&R.

We started on a cooler day to tackle painting the living and dining rooms.  Got all the furniture pushed to the middle of the room, removed all the switch and plug plates, taped where we needed to and got down to it:

A couple of hours in, and we got a message from our son at a conference in Vancouver – could they come out for the night the next day?  Well, of course they could, but could we get the house in good enough order for their visit?

We managed – just.  The walls were completely painted and some of the trim done and I was just cleaning floors when they arrived.

What a delight to have them and little LW for a few hours.  With my parents nearby now, they came for dinner and were completely enthralled as we are with the baby antics!

It was hard to get a good picture as he squirmed and squiggled

Father’s Day started with Opa hugs 011

and then it was off to the airport to head for home again.

We’re now at a campground in Squamish, just relaxing (we’ll tackle the last of the trim paint when we get home), and I’ll share some pics of our tourist days in the next post or two.

Happy visits!                Blessings, Peg
